I have written the script for my preliminary task and i'm going to record it next week!
I have briefly listened to a number of pop music radio shows to get a basic idea of how jingles should sound and the ways that presenters speak - though I now realise that I will have to do much more detailed research before I script my full task.
This is the script for my Preliminary Task:
Jingle: London FM 98.2, the city's best music, brought straight to you.
Presenter: Hi we're back again with the drive time show. Today we have a really special guest, pop star Jesse Keaton. Welcome Jesse. Lovely to have you here at London FM, and of course in London.
Jesse: Heya! It's so cool to be here in the studio and I love London, it's got to be my favourite city!
Presenter: We hear you have a new album coming out? We've had nothing but amazing comments about some of your past songs that are going to be on it. I hear you're actually adding a bonus track of you making the album. Can we hear a sneak peak of that?
Jesse: Ahhhhhh thank you. It was so fun to make I loved every minute of it. Yeah...okay...if we have too (laughs).
Presenter: Of course we have too, all the fans are bursting to hear it. Let us know what you think on hash tag London FM.
ARCHIVE CLIP:
Jesse: NONONO can we do that again, it doesn't sound great.
Producer: No the harmony sounded brilliant, just do the second verse again.
Jesse: (la la la la la la)
Producer: Yeah that's better it sounds sooo good Jesse.
Jesse: Okay cool, let's call it a day.
Producer: Well done everyone, see you all again tomorrow.
Presenter: That sounded great Jesse I can't wait to hear the whole thing next week when the album comes out...(fade out)
Jesse: It has been amazing to be here, thank you so much for having me.
Presenter: Now we're going to listen to 'Baby' by Justin Bieber.
